Supernatural Living, Part XIX

And when they prayed, the place where they assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Acts 4:31

A spiritual earthquake shook the place where the people who heard Peter's message were assembled and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit! Today we need an outpouring of the power and glory of God to wash away the ritual and tradition that has clogged up the river of life from flowing out of God's people!

The spiritual level of the church has sunk to an all time low because they have stopped their forward motion and relied on a man to give them their spiritual food once a week and have refused to come before the throne on their own seeking the Father and have starved themselves. When someone is starved he is weakened to the point that his organs begin to shut down and the body feeds off that which is stored up until he dies. The people of God are starving to death because they have not sought the Source of their spiritual life!

Unless the Lord sends an earth shattering revival of His power and glorious presence I am afraid the people of God will continue to shrivel up and be blown away by the worries and cares of this life! When I was in the reserves they called us weekend warriors, although we were trained in combat we only met once a month and two weeks in the summer. The most powerful entity in the world, the church of Jesus Christ also only meets once a week for an hour or so and then treads off to their mundane lives during the week only to do it again next week, trying to get enough spiritual nourishment to make it to another dead ritualistic service.

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Acts 4: 32,33
