Supernatural Living, Part XI

"All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20

The Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned us to go and make disciples of all nations! He never said anywhere in scripture to go and start churches, He said make disciples. We have put the cart ahead of the horse by directly disobeying the Lord's command to go, instead we try and fill buildings with lost folks and then for thirty years try and get them saved!

Jesus said He would build His church, we would make disciples, He would build the church, in fact the church, an assembly of disciples is not a place to go but a Person to be, an exact replica of the Lord Jesus Christ! Do you want to be a disciple or a church member? Church members attend and disciples go! Jesus never called people to be members of a church in the sense of what we have been led to believe church is. Church or ekklesia is an assembly of people called out of darkness into the light of God's presence, or a gathering of people called or summoned.

The church or ekklesia of the Lord Jesus Christ was never meant to be a stationary organization opened for business on every corner of the globe, but a living vine that would spread across the world transforming lives through the gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ. If you truly want to know what a disciple of Jesus is, then continue reading the next nine messages and you can make up your own mind, I guarantee it will change your life and possibly the direction you're heading in!

"Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. "And blessed is he who is not offended of Me." Luke 7:22,23
