Supernatural Living, Part X

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:11,12

We as believers have obtained an inheritance from the Father through Jesus Christ more valuable than anything on earth! We have been given His blood, His Spirit, His authority, His power and the gifts and callings of His heavenly kingdom, but sadly most never appropriate what was given them.

It would be like one of your rich relatives upon having died left you a substantial inheritance. The lawyers call and tell you that in order to receive this great wealth you have to come down to their office and sign some papers and the inheritance is yours, but you never go and so you forfeit the prize by never receiving the gift! So it is with many today in the body of Christ, they never learn about their inheritance and so they never receive the benefit of all that God had prepared for them, thus remaining in a state of being poor lost orphans, always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

We have been given the right of the divine bloodline to choose to become sons and daughters of the Most High God, anointed to rule and reign over the powers of darkness in His stead in the kingdom of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ! We have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness and we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise as with a signet ring! If you consider yourself nothing more than a poor old sinner saved by grace, then you have been deceived and have denied the power of God to transform you into a son or daughter adopted by the Father into His heavenly kingdom!

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13,14
