Standing On The Promises Of God, Part I

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1

One of the keys to kingdom living and I believe one of the most important is to live and abide in the secret place of the Most High, that place where you are all alone with Him in prayer, meditation and communion. Psalm 91 is a kingdom promise from God for healing, deliverance and spiritual warfare. Within the context of this psalm are some of the most powerful promises in the scriptures, all for you to take to heart and to stand on!

In order for one to abide under the shadow, or as the word in Hebrew is translated, shade, one must stay close to the tree! In other words you can't put God on a shelf with the rest of your idols, leave His shadow and then try and run back under His refuge when the storm comes! Many Christians today live on the crumbs of someone else's bread, refrigerator verses, or something someone posted on social media and the result is, spiritual starvation. The scripture speaks of living and abiding under the shadow of your heavenly Father. Remember when you were a child and went out with your parents, usually staying so close to them that you were in their shadow at all times, so it is with God we must live under His shadow of protection.

We are entering one of the most terrifying times in the history of the world, with the very foundations of the earth trembling under the intense pressure of tribulation, fiery trials and frequent catastrophic events. Wars, famine, disease and terror are everywhere and the only safe haven is in the arms of your heavenly Father. I would say that the word for the day would be: "Run for cover!"

I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge (Ref. Psalm 9:9,10) and my fortress; My God in Him I will trust."Psalm 91:1,2
