THE DIVINE DIALOG
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9
Water represents life, refreshment and restoration in the scripture and without it we would die spiritually. All life must have water, even in the natural world, nothing can survive without it! As we commune with God we are blessed with the rivers of His life giving presence.
Many today walk through deserts of dry and dusty preaching, endless services and Christ-less fellowship! They never experience the life-giving presence of Holy Spirit's flood of joy, peace and love. The river of life is available to all who will dare to step into the depths of His love!
Are you thirsty? Do you want all that He has for you? If so, then dive in to His presence and receive the water of life without cost and He will restore all that the devil has stolen from you! The depth of His ocean of love is bottomless so that whosoever will can go as deep as they want to bathe in His holy presence!
You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
THE RIVER OF LIFE
The lyrics to the old song says it all, describing the results of the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the benefits of His anointing! The river of life is the power and anointing of that which has been given to us to change the world!
Jesus said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." The Lord Jesus Christ is our source for light, life and spiritual drink, it is He who can transform our spirits from a dry and dusty desert to a beautiful oasis filled with the water of life and the fruit of His Spirit!
When one submits his life under the leading of God's Holy Spirit and is baptized with power from on high he is filled with the very presence of the Most High God that literally transforms a person of flesh into a supernatural spiritual being!
"He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." John 7:38
A TREE PLANTED BY THE RIVER
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3
My pastor used to tell me concerning hearing the things of the world and that which fills our minds as, "Garbage in, garbage out!" But for the man who fills his heart and mind with God's word it bears good fruit and the refreshing waters of life!
To meditate on the word of God is to read and then listen for the revelation of it from the still small voice of Holy Spirit. As you set your mind on the things above you will receive a heightened sense of God's presence and His focus on filling your heart with the fruit of His Spirit.
If you are dry and dusty from the things of the world and the onslaught of the daily pressures of life and attacks of the powers of darkness then run to the Lord and dive into His waters of life. Develop a "Divine Dialog" with Him who loves you and you will see your once burned out existence turn into a garden of the Most High!
“Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
