SEVEN KEYS TO ABUNDANT LIFE

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9

The above mentioned scripture is a prelude to the "Seven Keys to Abundant Life" that we will observe in Psalm 37. There are many keys, precepts and commands in God's word that open to us the revelation of an abundant life in Christ!

Christianity is meant to totally transform the believer into a New Creation being, no longer bound to the ways of the world being subjected to the absolute glory of Heaven's splendor! In order to seek out this glory it is like mining for gold, meant to sharpen our spirits to find all the hidden treasure of the Most High!

David wrote Psalm 37 as he did many of the psalms because he was a man after God's own heart, always seeking the presence and blessings of of the Most High and he was very sensitive to the Holy Spirit's voice. Be blessed as God's Spirit awakens your heart to the revelation of His word.

Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You, And Your righteousness to the upright in heart. Psalm 36:10

DO NOT FRET

Do not fret because of evil doers. nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down as the grass and wither as the green herb. Psalm 37:1,2

To fret is to be irritated and worrisome over those things that pester us and anger us because of evildoers. It seems the whole world has gone absolutely stark raving mad with all the nonsense going on in the news about the election, the virus and the state of the union!

The good news is the fact that all these evildoers will soon be cut down and wither away, including this cursed plague! Worrying and fretting cannot add one good thing to your life, but will make you miserable and anxious. Fretting produces fear and fear will cripple you and cause you to walk in dread without the peace of God that He intended us to live in.

The remedy for fretting is to set your mind on things above and not on the earth, fretting cant change anything, but filling your mind and heart with God's word will! You must practice the presence of God, living in the peace and tranquility of His presence and setting all your concerns on Him!

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:31-34

TRUST IN THE LORD

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct (make smooth or straight) your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6

In order to trust someone you cant see it is imperative to build a strong relationship with God by study, meditation, communication and prayer. Spending time with someone builds trust and answered prayer gives us the assurance that we have a solid relationship with the Lord.

When I first Got saved my new pastor taught me how to have a quiet time with God by setting aside a time every day to commune with Him. Over time I began to have a dialog with God and by journaling I could look back and see where He had answered prayer and so I began to have a track record with the Most High that has lasted these past forty years!

By faith put your trust in Him because He is faithful to open the windows of Heaven and become your best friend and spiritual Father. Spend quality time seeking His face and meditating on His word, praying in the Spirit and resting in His presence!

Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3
