    Behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. Revelation 6:8

    Could this be the famed fourth horse of the apocalypse, sent to kill a fourth of the earth? Are we in the last of the end times, and if so why are the saints still on the earth? The pandemic that has gone around the world in a matter of days has killed more in America in three months than the Vietnam war!

    If not the end, then what? Has God sent the Pale Rider to judge the vicious murder of millions of His precious innocent children in the name of choice? Is it because of the world's blatant idolatry and rebellion against the Most High, or the unconcerned attitude toward the perversion of homosexuality that runs rampant throughout the world, with pedophiles raping our children, drag queens exhibiting themselves in elementary schools and libraries, gay marriage, or is it the fact we just don't have time for God?

    In any case this plague that is upon the earth has the ability, left unchecked to destroy the world's economy and kill billions of people and as the scripture states, it was brought about by the beasts of the earth!

    And the angel cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit and a cage for every unclean and hated bird." Revelation 18:2

    Therefore her plagues will come in one day, death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her. Revelation 18:8

    We cannot deny the fact that literally everything changed in one day, the virus began to spread as the economy was destroyed with millions out of work and thousands of businesses closed their doors, some for good!

    You would think that there would be a global outcry to God for deliverance and healing but people are clamoring for their idols to be restored. Sports, movies and their pleasurable lives brought back to them. But this is not going to be a quick fix! Babylon represents a mindset for idolatry, immorality and perversion, where the lust for money, things and pleasure reigns supreme!

    It reminds me of the men of Sodom and Gomorrah who after they were struck blind by the angels sent to destroy them, they were still trying to rape them. So it is today, people are rebelling in the streets protesting any form of quarantine so that they can get their normal lives and livelihood back even if it costs them their life!

    So what is the answer? What can we as believers do? Everyone quotes II Chronicles 7:14 but there doesn't seem to be any Godly sorrow or repentance to stay this plague for the mercy and forgiveness of God to heal the land!

    David prayed this prayer of confession and repentance when he was convicted of his sins by the prophet Nathan of adultery and murder:

Psalm 51:1-17 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.
 For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just

when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.
 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—

These, O God, You will not despise.
