Your kingdom come, Your will be done. On earth as it is in Heaven. Matthew 6:10

There is much talk about the Kingdom of God, but I am afraid there is not much understanding of what or where it really is. In this four part series I will attempt to give an overview of the realm of God's kingdom, a monarchy that stretches across the universe through many multifaceted dimensions and even dwells within the heart of man. If you are reading this message you will want to subscribe to my daily devotional messages as well in which I am giving much detail on "Supernatural Living" that corresponds to these messages on the kingdom.

To begin with, the Kingdom of God is virtually everywhere because God's Spirit is everywhere and His domain consists of His presence residing around the globe, penetrating the darkness and searching for a heart that will surrender to His will and allow Him to dwell within their very being. The kingdom is of a supernatural nature where only those who walk in the Spirit can see or enter unless they are born again and washed with the blood of their King, the Lord Jesus Christ.

A story to rival even the greatest of science fiction novels, the Kingdom of God and it's King, Jesus have been in existence before the foundation of the world was ever laid. The original plan was to create a paradise on earth and to put a human being and his mate there to cultivate it and to live in the presence of God. Heaven had come to earth and the Spirit of God hovered over it, invading the atmosphere with His presence. The garden of Eden was perfect, a beautiful place where there was no evil, no sickness, no pestilence and no sin. The presence of God so permeated the atmosphere in such a way that Adam and his wife Eve wore no clothes because the glory of God covered them.

This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. Genesis 2:4

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die." Genesis 2:15-17

It is important to note that God has had His plans to set up a kingdom on earth in which His Spirit would lead a race of supernatural sons and daughters to rule the darkness and subdue the forces of Satan since the beginning, but as you will see, the plans have been sidetracked many times by the enemy of all good, Lucifer, arch angel of destruction.

Throughout biblical history Satan has thwarted the plan of God by seducing and deceiving man thereby defeating the planting of the heavenly kingdom from being established upon the earth. The Old Testament holds many stories of victory and defeat concerning the divine plan of His supernatural kingdom on earth. In spite of the many attempts at destroying the kingdom, God has always had a remnant of men and women sold out to the vision of a divine realm in which there would be the rule of a King unlike any the world had ever seen!

Satan's first attempt was successful in seducing the first family and destroying the paradise of God only to postpone the divine design well into the future until Abraham appeared, the father of many nations and God promised him a son, Issac and from their loins came a new race of the people of God who would eventually be called Israel the Jewish nation of the Most High. With the disobedience caused by Adam, sin entered the world bringing with it a generational curse that would ultimately destroy millions of lives giving way to the need for a remedy for mankind to be free from its grasp, a sacrifice was needed to stand in man's place giving him a way to cleanse himself of sins, transgressions and iniquity and a life was to be taken and with it, blood was spilled to make atonement for all of mankind.

Then the Lord God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever." Therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. Genesis 3:22,23

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:11,12

Blood has always been the only agent that would cleanse the sins of man because the life of the sacrifice was in it and so animal sacrifices were first initiated to give God's people a way of escape from the bondage and judgment of sin by being cleansed with blood. With the advent of the birth of a new King, the Lord Jesus Christ we have come into a new and living way in which the Savior stood in our place to whom judgment was due.

In the old covenant the High Priest would enter the holy of hollies once a year to sprinkle the blood of an animal sacrifice seven times on the mercy seat for the atonement of the people's sins, but now we have a High Priest who died once for the sins of all mankind taking upon Himself the judgment that mankind deserved to suffer on the cross. The Lord Jesus Christ bled in seven specific places to give us a complete deliverance from sin, sickness and eternal death in which those who surrender their lives, repent of their sins and by faith submit to the leading of God's Spirit, will in fact enter into the blood covenant of the Most High God!

When Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected, the old priesthood, temple, animal sacrifices and ritual were all done away with and the law was fulfilled giving way to a new covenant with better promises and a new kingdom established in the hearts of man. The temple was no longer a place to go because the new temple was constructed of living stones, scorched by the trials of life and bathed in the blood of the Lamb of God. Man was now the dwelling place of God's Holy Spirit and he was delivered from the bonds of sin and the generational curse of his forefathers becoming a royal priesthood in the kingdom of God's own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

And for this reason He is the mediator of as new covenant by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:15
