God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1:1-4

As ministers of the glorious Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ we have been given His name to use as power of attorney, His divine power for the destruction of strongholds, the cleansing force of His blood and all authority over our enemies! We as believers are the sole expression of the Lord Jesus in the earth, to display His power and glory to a lost and dying world and as His body, to rule and reign over all the powers of darkness and expand His kingdom!

The name of Jesus is above all names and every knee shall bow and every tongue will eventually confess that He is truly Lord of all, King of all kings and Ruler of the universe. We have been given His name to rule in His stead upon the earth as His body to do that which He did, to heal all oppressed by the devil and to proclaim the good news of His gospel of salvation. We are stewards of the mysteries of God and keepers of His word to be delivered to the lost and to be entrusted to those who would make Him Lord!

We are called to conquer, to heal, to deliver, to raise the dead and to perform miracles in His name. There is no other force on the planet that can withstand the onslaught of His divine power, given to all who believe and submit under His lordship. If you are a born again, blood washed saint of the Most High, you are called into the ministry of His service to be filled with His Spirit and to be led to perform the greater works of His kingdom!

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right (authority) to become children of God, to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12,13

"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

The same power that raised the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead dwells in those of us baptized in His Holy Spirit. We have been entrusted with the most powerful force in the universe, able to destroy the enemy's strongholds, heal any disease and raise the dead. Our God given powers are limitless to those of us who believe and appropriate that which He has given us.

As Jesus Christ was in the earth so are we, His body, filled with the same power to transform the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. The world is being covered with a deep darkness slipping into the pits of Hell without hope and the body of Christ has been sedated with the lusts and pleasures of the world, unconcerned for the millions of lost and dying people bound in sin. We hold the only weapons that can defeat the powers of darkness and set the captives free from the bondage of iniquity. We as His church have not gone into the harvest, choosing to stay in the safety of our cathedrals of complacency and like a giant cruise ship we have drowned out the cries of the damned with our praise music and programs, unable to fish for the souls of men sinking into Hell outside the church building!

The gifts and power of God were not given to be played with inside the confines of a building in some fleshly service, they were given to change the world and to save and disciple the lost, to heal all oppressed by the devil and to proclaim to all the world that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation for mankind! If you have been born again, washed in the Savior's blood and filled with His Spirit, then you are called into the service of the greatest army the world has ever known. So, with that in mind what are you going to do with the most powerful gift ever given, will you employ it in the service of the King, or will you bury your "Talent" in the ground? The choice is yours!

"And these signs will follow those who have believed; in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:17,18

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things that have come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:11,12

Jesus Christ is the perfect sacrifice given by our heavenly Father for all of mankind's sins, transgressions, iniquities and sicknesses. There is no other who died to give us eternal life but He who bled in seven specific places to give us a complete salvation.

From the garden to the grave, His sweat turned to blood, giving us entrance back into God's favor, beaten and bruised for our iniquities, whipped thirty nine times to heal our diseases, crowned with thorns to restore our God-given provision, His hands pierced with the inscription of our names, His feet pierced to give us authority over our enemies and finally, His heart pierced and broken for our sins. Only the Lord Jesus Christ has given us the way of salvation by the complete and lasting sacrifice of His life, and the shedding of His own blood to save us from eternal damnation!

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and there is no other in which we receive salvation. He died in our stead for whom was due the punishment for sin. He purchased all who would believe and repent of their sins becoming their Savior and Lord, allowing them access into the realms of the heavenly kingdom forever!

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance. Hebrews 9:13-15

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19

All authority and power belong to the Lord Jesus Christ and He has given the use of it to those of us who have become His disciples. We have the power to defeat Satan and all the powers of darkness and yet I believe we haven't scratched the surface in knowing how to use it, or how to employ it to defeat the enemy!

The main reason we don't know how to fight is the fact that for the most part the body of Christ is untrained and ignorant of their divine weapons, power and God-given authority. The church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been turned upside down by the devil and made to believe they are just members of an organization or denomination led by a man and that they are just to show up and shut up! Poor little sheep submitting under the senior shepherd and CEO of a religious business, resurrected from a dead and thought to be buried priesthood that Jesus destroyed by His death, burial and resurrection!

The most powerful church ever to inhabit the planet was the First Pentecostal Assembly of God in Jerusalem, made up of the disciples of Jesus and those who were saved by the power of His Spirit poured out from on high and the preaching of Peter. This band of born again brothers and sisters gave all to be a part of the greatest expression of His body by selling all and spreading the message of the gospel to thousands and they had no leadership, no pastor, no deacons, no elders, no Bibles, no Starbucks, only twelve apostles, who were only sharing what they had experienced from the Lord. They were born again, Spirit filled saints of the Most High, anointed and sent by the Holy Spirit Himself to change the world!

So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into Heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Mark 16:19,20

It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31

The world is very familiar with terror with the advent of ISIS and all the other Islamic terrorist factions around the world and even in the west! There are many reasons on which to blame this invasion on many different things, such as the war in Iraq and our presence in the middle east, but we must consider the spiritual aspect of terror and what is provoking its wrath upon the world!

The scripture is very plain when it comes to the righteous judgment of God and the reasons for His wrath to be poured out on a world who has rejected and defected from the Most High. There is no fear of God among His body, nor the world and to most He is only a figment of their imagination, even in His church who have no clue what is coming upon the earth! Throughout biblical history the prophets have warned of the coming of the day of the Lord, commonly known as "Judgment Day!"

The scripture cries out, "Where is the promise of His coming?" The Jews didn't believe their Messiah would come to them at the time He did and we, the modern day know it all society of skeptics just laugh it off as if it were a fairy tale. The apostle Peter says that in the last days scoffers will come, and so they have, mocking anything that leads to the righteous anger of a Holy God, deeply offended and grieved by our rebellious behavior.

Blow the trumpet (warning) in Zion. And sound the alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is at hand: a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. Joel 2:1,2

A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has ever been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many generations. A fire devours before them and behind them a flame burns; the land is like the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; surely nothing shall escape them. Joel 1:2,3

Contrary to popular belief the above mentioned scripture in Joel is not describing the people of God as the song, "Blow the Trumpet in Zion" states, but is a type and shadow of the powers of darkness sent to chastise them for their disobedience. The army of God is the very judgment and instrument of His indignation on a rebellious people who refuse to repent!

Throughout the Old Testament when Israel strayed from the laws of God and rebelled against Him, He would send their enemies against them until they would repent and turn back from their evil ways. So it is today because the world and even His own people have rejected their only source of protection and deviated from His word and gone a whoring after other gods! In Deuteronomy 28:49,50 it states that God will bring a nation from afar, a nation of fierce countenance against His own people because of their disobedience. People today have a hard time believing that a loving God would send their enemies against them, but He is the same God who created Hell and damnation for the wicked!

We as believers are covered in the blood of His Son and surrounded with the presence of His Spirit, having angels dispatched to bear us up in the midst of evil, but the world of the wicked will perish in the coming tribulation and righteous indignation of the Most High God! The attack of 911 was the beginning of the destruction of Babylon, the pride and greed of a selfish and unrepentant nation who had begun to reject and expel God from their society and murdered over 57 million innocent, unborn and partially born children in the name of choice!

The earth quakes before them, the heavens tremble; the sun and moon grow dark, and the stars diminish their brightness. The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; who can endure it? Joel 2:10,11

"Now therefore," says the Lord, "Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping, and with mourning." So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness; and He relents of doing harm. Joel 2:12,13

If you were to replay all the tragic, catastrophic events, terrorist attacks, school shootings, earthquakes, super storms, wildfires and countless acts of violence in this country since 911, I believe you would weep and mourn and cry out for mercy from a holy God! But all we have heard from an arrogant people in the face of total annihilation is "God bless America!"

The truth is, God has blessed America more than any other nation on the planet, I believe in part because at first we sowed the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world and sent Christian missionaries out to reap a harvest of lost souls, but now missionaries come to us to try and save a greedy and entitled brood of rebellious people. A sad testimony of a once great nation and formidable fighting force, founded upon the principals of God's word, but now a liberal bunch of all about me, selfish and ignorant people who have totally rejected God!

My prayer for this nation and the true church of the Lord Jesus Christ is: repent and come to God in humility of heart and confess your apostasies and fruitless services that pet the flesh and ignore the harvest sent to you, and return to a God deeply offended by your behavior! America and the American church is on the verge of total destruction and the terror of the Lord will descend upon her in unparalleled waves of fearful acts of mass murder and catastrophic events that will devastate the land and will release the demonic hoards of terrorists who will continue to flood the country with fear until she ceases to exist! May God have mercy on us all!

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, (those who went into the harvest and were not supported) which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in the day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you. James 5:1-6

And behold, a certain lawyer (an expert in Jewish law) stood up and tested Him saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?" So he answered and said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and your neighbor as yourself.' " Luke 10:25,26

The two greatest commandments on which all the scripture is fulfilled was recited by this expert who came to Jesus seeking eternal life. Like many who can memorize and recite volumes of scriptures this lawyer didn't seem to know or have a revelation of what it meant to love your neighbor, or even who his neighbor was when wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"

To answer that question is to open one's eyes and see, because the whole world is your neighbor! Gays, Muslims, illegal aliens, the rich, the poor, the wicked and the righteous, and yes, even your enemies are your neighbors! Love our enemies, "No way!" That's the problem, because we pick and choose whom we like, the nice clean middle class white folk with nice manicured yards and well behaved kids who don't cause any trouble. But what about the rest of the world, the thieves, rapists, and murderers, those in prison, or those with AIDS, are we not also supposed to love them?

Jesus was no respecter of persons and He walked among the worst of the worst, whores and drunkards, gluttons, tax collectors and Pharisees, even lepers who were unclean and regarded as outcasts of society. No one was rejected because of His great love, something the modern-day, all about me church knows absolutely nothing about!

"The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." Luke 10:2

"A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead." Luke 10:30

Sound familiar, somebody being robbed and beaten, left for dead, happens daily, but what is our responsibility in these situations if we witness an attack? According to Jesus, He tells of a good Samaritan who happened by this very scenario and what he did for the man, beaten and left for dead!

Now as the story goes a priest and a Levite had seen the man lying in the road but passed him by not wanting to involve themselves in a messy situation, and I will tell you from experience every situation is messy when you are trying to help someone. Think about it, how many times have you had an opportunity to help someone but didn't want to invest the time or the money or the legality of the circumstance in order to be able to help someone in great need?

Lucky for the man who was beaten that a good Samaritan arrived on the scene and attended to his wounds and put him in an inn until he was well and paid for the whole thing. Jesus then asked the lawyer which of the three men who saw the man lying in the street was his neighbor and the lawyer responded by saying, "The one who showed mercy!" Jesus said to him, "Go and do the likewise!"

"And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. "But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. "Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful." Luke 6:34-36

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. "If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. "And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two." Matthew 5:38-41

We have all grown up hearing this scripture and whether you are a believer or not it has become the creed of the American macho male to do unto others before they do unto you! In light of the times and recent terror attacks in Paris and around the world we have taken this verse to heart in that we have so many enemies and so much evil that it seems appropriate to hate those who stand against us.

Jesus prophesied that in the last days because lawlessness would increase that most people's love would grow cold, a sign of apostasy, and so it has happened. The once brilliant white hot heat of the love that God's people had has all but grown dim and in danger of being extinguished. Our mission in this life as the body of Christ is to exhibit the love that God has for the world, even giving His only begotten Son to be sacrificed for the sins of the wicked! Even Jesus as He was dying on the cross said to those who crucified Him, "Father, forgive them!"

If we are to win the world for the Lord Jesus Christ, we must repent of being like the rest of the world and begin to love people as God does and to see them as He does, as a people needing to be forgiven and delivered from their sins! May God have mercy on His people and give us love for one another.

"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, "that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." Matthew 5:44,45

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6

There is only one way to enter Heaven and that is through the shed blood of the only Savior of mankind, the Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Way, the only Way and there is none other who died to give man the opportunity to believe in Him, to repent of his sins and to acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior! Every knee will eventually bow to Him and every tongue will confess that He is the only King of all kings and Lord of all!

Jesus warned us that in the last days there would be many false prophets and so there are, some are blatant liars, but many others are subtle, hardly noticeable to a world gone absolutely stark raving mad! With the advent of the self help gurus such as Dr. Phil, Dr. Drew, Dr. Oz and the queen of apostasy, Oprah and the princess of perversion, Ellen, people have gotten the notion that God has some how widened the stairway to Heaven! Their message is one of love, not agape love, but a fleshly, if it feels good it must be God kind of love with many paths that lead to Heaven.

The first church at Pentecost in Jerusalem that was filled with the glorious power of the Holy Spirit set the world on fire with the gospel of Jesus Christ and it was called, "The Way!" There were many false prophets in those days too and many against this new born sect of strange folk willing to sell all, share with their spiritual brothers and sisters and to even die for the gospel! In order to join this new Way one had to be willing to lose all and give up his life completely surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ!

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves." Matthew 7:13-15

"If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31,32

If Jesus Christ is the truth, then what is the truth that He is speaking of and how does that truth set us free? The truth is the fact that the Lord Jesus came to be a sacrifice for our sins and transgressions committed against a Holy God deeply offended by mankind's behavior, but because of His great love for us He made a way of escape that we might inherit eternal life!

The wages of mankind's sins is an eternal abode in a place of damnation where the devil and his angels shall be tormented day and night forever. There are many religions that claim they have an entrance into eternal life in Heaven but they are deceived, not knowing the truth of God's word and so they believe a lie and are deluded with false teaching that will eventually lead them to Hell! Today everyone likes to think that because God is a loving God that He wouldn't send anyone to a place of torment forever, but they forget the fact that He is a God of truth and justice, not wanting us to perish, but for all to come to the knowledge of His truth!

In order to become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, one must believe in His sacrificial death by crucifixion, His burial and His subsequent resurrection in which He shed His own blood in order to wash away the sins of those who have confessed and repented and by faith acknowledged Him as their Lord. Without the shedding of the Savior's blood there could be no remission of sin. Has the truth set you free?

And the Word (God) became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. John 1:4,5

There are multitudes of religions around the world claiming to have the only way of salvation for man but their founders and prophets are all in the grave! Jesus Christ is the only deity who is not dead because He lives forever more, being the Son of the living God.

Jesus Christ is the Giver of spiritual life and by His Spirit He resurrects the hearts of men to know Him and receive the power to become new creations in Him! Through the supernatural power of God we become born again children of the Most High God, filled with the life of His Holy Spirit and transformed into disciples of Christ. The only way to tell if one is born again is by the witness of the Holy Spirit in him that shines forth from his spirit, one to another, giving proof that the life of God is in Him!

None of the religions of the world, nor their gods and idols contain spiritual life, but instead they consist of rules, regulations, laws and rituals designed to hold men in bondage to dead and lifeless traditions and the outcome is a fiery eternity away from the presence of the only true God and Savior, Jesus Christ! Do you have the life of God within you? Are you washed from your sins by His blood and are you filled with His Holy Spirit? If you don't know, then you are eternally lost and falling headlong into damnation in the pits of Hell! If you are lost, repent of your sins and cry out for God's abundant mercy and by faith believe in His redemptive power that is able to save your soul and you will become a new creation in Christ!

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life. I John 5:11-13

There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always. Acts 10:1,2

Divine appointment, although not mentioned as such in the scripture is the time set by God for a specific event in our lives. Throughout history God has ordered the steps of man to bring about the fulfillment of His plans and the enactment of His perfect will on earth as it is in Heaven!

Within this story God is wanting to reach a certain family of Gentiles with the gospel of Jesus Christ, but the chosen messenger can't go to them because they are unclean to him, so He devises a Divine Appointment in order to have the apostle Peter go to the home of Cornelius, a Roman centurion to hear the message of life. There are many things that restrain man from accomplishing the work of God, such as religious tradition and the doctrines of men, separating us from God's ultimate will for our lives.

How many people today are desiring to know the Savior, touched by His Spirit and under conviction as Cornelius, but have no one to tell them the truth of the gospel? There is no excuse here in America, the Bible belt of the world and yet very few so-called Christians ever share their faith, or even know what the gospel is or how to lead someone to Christ!

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, "Cornelius!" And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, Lord?" So he said to him, "Your prayers and alms have come up for a memorial before God. Acts 10:3,4

"Now send men to Joppa, and send for Simon whose surname is Peter. "He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do." Acts 10:5,6

After the angel departed from Cornelius he sent two of his servants and a Roman soldier to bring Peter back to share the gospel of their salvation with them. Doesn't that seem strange for a lost man to ask for someone to preach the gospel to him when the man they are seeking has been commanded to go into all the world by the Lord Himself and make disciples?

Although the plan included the salvation of Cornelius and his household, the main reason for such a divine appointment was to free Peter and the Jewish church from racism so that they would accept the Gentiles that were to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Gentiles were unclean to Jews, even saved Jews but they had been entrusted with the gospel to deliver to all the world. Peter was on the rooftop of Simon the tanner waiting on lunch to be served when all of a sudden he fell into a trance and saw Heaven opened and an object like a great sheet descended, filled with all sorts of unclean animals and a voice said to him, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat!"

Peter being a good Jew said in response, "Lord I have never eaten anything common or unclean," and the voice said to him, "What God has cleansed you must not call unclean." This was done three times and the object was taken up into Heaven. While Peter was perplexed over the vision and what it meant, the three men sent by Cornelius stood before the gate and called for Peter and after being questioned about who they were and who sent them, they were invited to come in.

While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold three men are seeking you. "Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing, for I have sent them." Acts 10:19,20

"You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean." Acts 10:28

This mission was impossible by human means but with God all things are possible. The three men talked with Peter explaining their mission and who had sent them and he consented to go with them to the home of an unclean Gentile and Roman centurion!

Upon his arrival to the home of Cornelius, Peter questioned him about why he had summoned him and the purpose of his visit, and he told him of the vision of the angel that he had received and what he told him to do by inviting Peter to come and to share all the things commanded him by God. Peter then proceeded to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who were in attendance and the fact that he was a witness of all things done by Him and testified of His death, burial and resurrection.

This is an amazing event, ordained of God and divinely orchestrated by the Most High in order to deliver the glorious gospel of salvation to the Gentile nations of the world! As Peter delivered the message of eternal life the Holy Spirit was poured out on them all and they spoke in tongues and magnified God and he commanded that they be baptized! We as believers need to take this message to heart and open our eyes to those around us who are lost and in need of the Savior's forgiveness and pray for God to provide us a divine appointment!

"And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained of God to be judge of the living and the dead. "To Him all the prophets witness that through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission and forgiveness of sins." While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. Acts 10:42-44
