Kingdom Benefits

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:1-5

God has a Kingdom Benefit package like no other, available on an exclusive basis for those who have been born again. We as believers have access to the riches of God's kingdom and the promise that it will be on earth, as it is in Heaven!

This scripture is probably quoted more than most and yet not many take it to heart and believe it. We live in a supernatural realm of the Spirit and as children of God we have the same benefits as those in Heaven. Is there any sickness in Heaven, any sin, pain, or depression, poverty or lack? No! Then why do we tolerate it here on earth, with the promise that it will be the same here, as it is in the heavenly realm?

Psalm 103:1-5 describes some of the benefits that God has promised to His people, but keep in mind these are Old Covenant promises. Today we have a New Covenant written in the Savior's blood with new and even better promises because He took our infirmities and our sins and nailed them to the cross! We have been freed from the curses of the law by the blood of Jesus, and the yoke of bondage has been broken by the anointing of the Holy Spirit!

But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. Hebrews 8:6

WHO FORGIVES ALL YOUR INIQUITIES

I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:5,6

Iniquity is a perverted and depraved lifestyle that comes from a root word, to bend, twist or distort. The generational curse of judgment on our iniquities comes down the bloodline because of the sins of our unfaithful ancestors, causing us all to be born in sin.

Jesus came to set us free from our sins and iniquities when He was crucified and bled in seven specific areas giving us a complete deliverance from the bondage of sin and death. In the Old Testament, Aaron the high priest would take a goat and lay his hands on his head as he confessed the iniquities of the people and then would send the goat out into the wilderness symbolizing our deliverance, being a type and shadow of the Lord Jesus Christ who was to come as the sacrificial Lamb of God.

From the very beginning of time the iniquity of our forefather, Adam has descended upon all of mankind bringing with it death and destruction and the demise of millions of unsuspecting victims. To answer the question of why bad things happen to good people is because of the generational curse on our iniquities that have blossomed into a rod of judgment in these last days. Jesus took all of our sins and iniquities to the cross where they were placed upon Him on our behalf, and His blood was shed to set us free from our depraved and perverted lifestyles.

But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place, once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:11,12

WHO HEALS ALL OF YOUR DISEASES

He was wounded (pierced through) for our transgressions, He was bruised (bled inside) for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes (blows that cut in) we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Jesus was whipped by the Romans with a "Cat of nine tails," a cruel instrument in the hands of an unmerciful punisher. The whip consisted of strips of leather that had pieces of bone or metal attached to it that literally cut the flesh in a cruel act of punishment. Although it is not recorded in scripture except when the apostle Paul stated that he was beaten by the Jews five times with forty lashes less one, it was the Roman custom to give 39 lashes to their victims, often times leaving them near death.

It is also said that there are 39 root diseases that afflict mankind but I cannot substantiate that fact although I believe that Jesus healed every one of our infirmities and diseases giving us a complete healing through the shedding of His blood. In the Old Testament the High Priest would enter the Holy of Hollies with the blood of aspotless lamb and sprinkle it seven times on the mercy seat signifying the Lamb of God shedding His blood for us inseven specific places.

All sin, sickness and iniquity was laid upon the Lord Jesus so that His sacrifice for us would indeed set us free from the curse and subsequent judgment of the law. Jesus fulfilled the law through His substitutionary death by taking it all for us who deserved it. Jesus said that we would know the truth and the truth that we know in our heart would make us free, and the truth is this: the blood of the Savior was shed in seven places giving us a complete deliverance from the bonds of death and eternal destruction forever!

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness- by whose stripes (wounds) you were healed. I Peter 2:24

WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM DESTRUCTION

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10

Satan is a destroyer of life and all that is good, he is the original master of disaster! The Rolling Stones once had a song called "Sympathy for the devil," but there can be no sympathy for one as cruel and merciless as he! From the beginning of time he has managed to wreak havoc upon all of mankind and has become the enemy of all of God's creations.

Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to redeem mankind from the effects of sin and rebellion that began in the garden of Eden when Satan tempted Adam and Eve to eat that which God commanded, "You shall not eat, lest you die!" From that time forward the curse of sin and death moved down the bloodline of all of mankind bringing destruction and death upon its victims with cruel and merciless accuracy. Nothing can stop the curse of sin but One, the Lord Jesus Christ who came to shed His pure and holy blood for all of mankind who would choose to repent and receive it to cleanse them from their sin.

Abundant life from the blood of Jesus has the power to restore that which the enemy of your soul has robbed from you, because there is life in the blood! There is no other remedy for sin, no other cure for man's ills, only the precious blood drawn from the Savior's veins can restore you from the destruction of sin. From the garden of Gethsemane to the rugged cross of Calvary the steps of Christ were stained with blood to set man free from sin's fateful hold and to bring about the abundant life that is promised to all who would receive!

Therefore as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous. Romans 5:18,19

WHO CROWNS YOU WITH MERCY

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

The Most High has crowned us with the mercy that comes from the sacrifice of His Son Jesus when He died on the cross. Those who would accept this act of supreme kindness by being washed in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ will experience what it is like to be forgiven and cleansed by His mercy and grace.

In the Old Testament the priests would sing, "His mercy endures forever" and so it is a fact that we serve a God who can sympathize with our weaknesses and shortcomings and still be a merciful and loving Creator. Think about all the times you failed Him and maybe even grieved His Holy Spirit as we all have at some time or other, and yet He still loves us and allows His mercy to wash over our sins. As the world hurls headlong into Hell we would do well to show them the mercy in which we have received that they may escape the sentence of death and be saved!

Last week Lance Armstrong told the world that he had lied about his use of steroids and at the time felt no remorse as he won race after race and it wasn't until he was convicted that his children were defending him that his eyes were opened. In his interview he stated that his first wife was a Christian and that she knew the truth and encouraged him to repent but he didn't until God used his kids to turn his heart. I believe that seed has been planted in this man who is about to lose everything he has, but at the same time I believe God is about to show His mercy by saving him.

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4-7

WHO SATISFIES YOUR MOUTH WITH GOOD THINGS

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

One of the hero's of faith, George Mueller, who established an orphanage in England during the time of work houses in which children were sent to toil under miserable conditions used to quote this scripture: "Open your mouth wide and I will fill it!" In other words, " Lord I am in need!"

Throughout Mueller's ministry he chose to trust God for his needs and even made a vow stating that he would not ask a man for anything and the Lord was faithful to honor His word and provide the needs of thousands of orphans. For over a hundred years after his death the orphanage chose to operate under faith and God blessed them greatly. God's faithfulness to provide is also extended to everyone who will simply trust Him and take Him at His word.

One of the benefits of making Jesus the Lord and Shepherd of our life is the fact that He cares for His sheep and vows to take care of our every need. According to Psalm 23 He says that we shall not want and it is He who provides green pastures, still waters and the abundant life promised to all who would follow Him in obedience. So what are you waiting for? Open your mouth wide that He might fill it!

Honor the Lord with your possessions , and the firstfruits of all your increase. So your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9,10

Are you experiencing God's benefit plan or are you still trusting in the world for your provision? Do you desire to see your youth renewed and restored like the eagle? If so let go! Give your life to Him who created you and cares for you more than any other! Your heavenly Father awaits your surrender to come to Him with all of your heart trusting Him with all of your needs!
