Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin. Isaiah 53:10

Jesus was beaten and bruised beyond recognition, bleeding inside His body to break the generational curse of iniquity from the sin of Adam. The Romans were a violent lot being urged by the devil to kill the Son of God!

There is no telling how much He endured, being beaten by men with no compassion or mercy, only cruel soldiers making sport of our Lord and Savior. As the bruising inside His body began to break the curse of the sins of the fathers, generations of born again believers were freed from hereditary sickness, sin and death, those who have been delivered by His blood.

God said in Exodus 20:5 that He was a jealous God and that He would visit the iniquities of the fathers on the children, but Jesus broke the curse with the shedding of His blood and set us free forever by being beaten and bruised for us!

He was bruised for our iniquities. Isaiah 53:5
