Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18

We don't always think of praying in tongues as a weapon, but when we don't know what to pray in the heat of battle, our heavenly Father does. The gift of tongues and interpretation are a gift from God to use at any time we need them.

We are spiritual people and our weapons and armor are also spiritual and we war against an unseen foe, sent to rob, kill and destroy! Praying in the Spirit strengthens us and gives us direction just as a seeing eye dog does for the blind or GPS on your phone. My pastor, mentor and friend, David went blind about three years ago but his spiritual senses have become stronger as he walks by faith and not by sight!

Praying in tongues opens the windows of Heaven to receive revelation knowledge, direction and discernment that ultimately leads us into all truth. As we live and walk in the Spirit we see how cumbersome the flesh is as we traverse the heavenly realms as spiritual beings. If you don't have the gift of tongues, pray for God to baptize you in His Holy Spirit and receive the power to overcome your enemies!

Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. I Corinthians 13:13-15
