Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." I Samuel 17:45

David was proclaiming that His God would be fighting this battle and in His name Goliath would be defeated! It is important to give glory to God and praise His name for the battle is truly His and the victory already won!

When we engage our enemies we should acknowledge the Lord and proclaim our victory over them in the name, power and blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. At the very mention of His name every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ as Lord and King of all! Confidence in the Lord and knowing who you are in Him will defeat the lies and deception of the devil.

David then ran toward Goliath, took out a stone and slung it and struck the giant in his forehead and he fell to the earth, then David took Goliath's sword and cut off his head and the rest of the Philistine army fled! There is no armor for the back, only for frontal attacks, engaging our enemy face to face with confidence and strength in our God for victory!

"Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's and he will give you into our hands." I Samuel 17:47
