And a champion went out from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. I Samuel 17:4

David and Goliath is one of the most famous stories about spiritual warfare written in the scripture. Goliath represents that huge mountain that everyone at some time or another faces, whether it is a hopeless diagnosis, a financial dilemma, failed marriage or just something so impossible for you to overcome that it will take a miracle of God!

David heard the taunts of the giant but he wasn't wringing his hands in fear and doubt because he had already killed a bear and a lion and was confident in who he was and to Whom he belonged! David was prepared for war even though the Giant was trained in battle from his youth and armed to the teeth, spewing out words of fear, doubt and unbelief to try and dishearten anyone who would challenge him.

It is of the utmost importance to be confident in who you are in Christ, equipped with the spiritual weapons of war and knowing in your heart who's battle it belongs! The battle belongs to the Most High and victory is already won through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ! Sickness is healed, the devil is defeated and the mountains of impossibility removed and cast into the sea for those who appropriate the promises of God!

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling. For He shall give His angels charge over you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Psalm 91:9-13
