INTRODUCTION TO SPIRITUAL WARFARE
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasing to the eyes, and a tree pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her and he ate. Genesis 3:6
Satan uses the same scheme today to trap his victims, he just shows people what they already desire and like a wise fisherman sets the hook and their own lust snares their heart! Eve justified why she should eat of that which God said, "You shall not eat!"
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life are the best bait to catch the unsuspecting. Satan knows what man wants and he just provides a little lust, a little doubt and "BAM!" He catches another one! The deadly snare of the trapper has worked for centuries even being tried on the Son of God in the wilderness. Don't let him catch you!
From one little act of disobedience all of mankind was cursed with Adam's sin, having to have a Savior's blood set them free! We would do well to learn from Adam's mistake by keeping our hearts pure and learning God's word to insure that we are not trapped by Satan's schemes and able to fight off the attacks and temptations of our enemy!
And the Lord God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." Genesis 3:13
