Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8

In a TV interview with Mike Love of the Beach Boys, he told how he and the Beatles learned transcendental meditation in India. Millions have given their minds over to Eastern religions seeking to enter another realm in order to attain "peace of mind" but this type of meditation opens one up to demonic control!

Our minds are capable of containing God's word, a formidable human computer, never meant to be filled with worldly things or the filth and perversion available 24/7 through the media. Philippians speaks of those things which edify us and not only fill our minds but our hearts with joy, peace and love. You can always tell what is in a person's heart by what comes out of their mouth.

II Corinthians 10:3-6 teaches us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Every thought? Do you inventory your thought life? This is what we are instructed to do to filter that which doesn't belong in our minds, of which there is plenty available from the world and the media.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength (rock) and my redeemer Psalm 19:14
