Gentlemen, Start Your Engines!

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7

The famous phrase from the Indy 500 for men to start their engines is also applicable for Christian men today to start the engine of God within them! Jesus chose twelve men to begin the race of all races, the race for life.

One can obtain the finest hand crafted, fine tuned, balanced and blueprinted engine in the world, but without fuel it is only a boat anchor, a heavy chunk of metal destined for the scrap yard if it is never started and run to its optimum capacity. So are most men today, born again, lives changed, water baptized, joined up but no place to go, sitting quietly in some isolated pew until death do us part!

What a travesty for men to sit idle without a vision, untrained and lied to by their self appointed shepherds that all they can expect out of eternal life is to show up, sign up, and write a check to support whatever program the pastor has dreamed up to fill "his" church. After all, he is the only one trained and educated to be used in the kingdom and everyone else in the congregation is a "layman."

A layman or laity is defined as the people of a religious faith distinct from its clergy and clergy is defined as a body of religious officials authorized to conduct services. The modern day, submit under my authority church of the anything goes if pastor says so is a derivative of the old priesthood dragged up from the tombs of antiquity and inspired by Satan himself.

"For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. "But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad and enlarge the borders of their garments. "They love the best seats (place of honor) in the synagogues, "greetings in the marketplaces and to be called by men,'Rabbi.' (pastor, bishop or clergy) "But you, do not be called Rabbi; for One is your leader, and you are all brethren. "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in Heaven. "And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. "But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant." Matthew 23:4-11

Christ is the Head of a man, but because the whole building is off plumb because greedy men with selfish motives have refused to see the blueprint of God's holy church and built according to their own desires, men are trapped in sheep pens destined to be smothered in the traditions and doctrines of men and demons.

A friend once said, "Deceived folks don't know they are deceived." How true, just because everyone is doing it, it must be God, right? No, very wrong! Jesus chose to call apostles, ones who see the plan and blueprint of the assembly of God's true ordained ekklesia, a spiritual building built of living stones, washed in the blood of Jesus and filled with His Spirit. Master builders sent to construct the Kingdom of God on earth with the souls of men, free from tradition and empowered to go!

The first command given to creation was"Be fruitful and multiply" meaning to sow seed, in our case the word of God, and reap a harvest of souls for His kingdom. God's plan for man was to build a living temple that would resemble His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who would go about doing good and heal all who are oppressed by the devil! The church today should look and act like Jesus in every way, filled with the Holy Spirit and operating in every spiritual gift.

The body of Christ was never meant to be divided, especially from one another except by location and we were never meant to be owned or controlled by men. Today there is a church on every corner and they in most cases don't speak to one another, divided by denomination, race and political preference they languish in their little isolated sheep pens of despair never fulfilling God's will for their lives.

The trumpet is blowing and the harvest is white and the earth and everything in it is being shaken to the core. Do you not hear the sounds of battle and the war-cry of God to go forth and conquer, or will you stay in your pew and remain a spectator? The choice is yours, millions are perishing without the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you are called to give them the gospel of their salvation, no one else will go, will you?

The engine of God is fueled by Holy Spirit and when one steps out into the will of God for his life it begins to rev up and empower him to do the works of God and reap the harvest appointed for such a time as this. If you have not experienced the baptism in the Holy Spirit and the power that it will produce in your life, then cry out to God for an impartation of His anointing to fill you with the fuel of Heaven that will overflow into people's lives.

The kingdom of God is not static, nor is it housed in a building or structure, but it is contained in a people that will go forth in power, sowing and reaping souls from the harvest of the earth. Jesus said the harvest is white but the laborers are few, therefore pray for laborers to enter into His harvest. Will you join the race, or sit on the sidelines, will you go, or stay and die in some gloomy sheep pen, a lonely spectator, unfulfilled and never reaching your potential in Christ? The choice is yours!

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24
