Faithful Men And Women's Vision 2016
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long suffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Colossians 1:9-12
SIX POINTS OF PROMISE- We as the body of Christ must begin to fulfill the vision of our Father's kingdom to walk in unity with one another, to stand up for righteousness, to lay down our lives for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to represent Him as ambassadors to a lost and dying world sinking into darkness! Christianity is not about attending a service once a week, its about being the expression of Jesus in the world every day of our lives and representing a supernatural kingdom that we as believers have inherited from our Father!
I. FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL- Finding our place in God's kingdom and knowing what our purpose in the body of Christ is and what the Father's will for us in the earth is the most important task we can accomplish as His people. Only by being filled with His Holy Spirit can we be filled with revelation, wisdom, knowledge and spiritual understanding that ultimately reveals His will for our lives.
II. WALKING WORTHY OF THE LORD- In order to walk worthy of the Lord is to lay down our lives for Him which in turn does please Him because that is His will for His bride. As the wife of the Lamb of God we must be totally committed to Him being obedient to the leading of His Spirit in everything we do that in most cases is contrary to the ways of the world.
III. BEING FRUITFUL IN EVERY GOOD WORK- The very first command recorded for man was to be fruitful and multiply. As the body of Christ we must multiply everything we receive from the Father in order to expand the kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven. God has given us all "Talents" to use and multiply until He returns and hopefully we will have gained more and increased the kingdom.
IV. INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD- The apostle Paul told Timothy to show himself approved as a workman, handling accurately the word of God. Today, however many in the body of Christ do not know the Word, nor do they study, being content to receive a few small crumbs on Sunday from their pastor and starving themselves until they die spiritually and eventually fade away!
V. STRENGTHENED WITH ALL MIGHT- The body of Christ has the very power that raised Christ from the dead! We are strengthened and empowered with God's Holy Spirit, Creator of all things and our mission is to use that power to change the world and to transform lives that in turn expands God's kingdom! Jesus said we would receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon us and that we would be His witnesses to the world.
VI. GIVING THANKS TO THE FATHER- God has qualified us through the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ to inherit His kingdom here on earth and to expand it around the world. We ought to give thanks to God for the treasure He has deposited in us as His family and for His commission for us to be His ambassadors to the world.
In the midst of our worldly pursuits, resolutions, goals and ambitions for this new year we ought to stop and think about who we really are and to whom we belong and for what we have been truly called to do on this earth! The world is spinning out of control, the global economy is crashing and violent aggressors are being released around the world to establish the kingdom of darkness. The spirit of anti-Christ is prevalent in this country and there is no one man, party or candidate who can change a people who have forsaken God! The glorified, sanctified, Spirit filled and anointed body of Christ, unified under the banner of the cross is the only entity capable of a world-wide revival and national repentance to a God deeply offended by our disobedient behavior and tolerance for evil! May we arise and be about our Father's business!
Your servant in Christ, Tim Laughlin
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed (transferred) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in Heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things and in Him all things consist. Colossians 1:13-17
