"Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these." Luke 12:27
The stories of George Mueller and his faith to take God at His word inspired me for years, having to re-read his biography many times to build my faith, but God was always faithful! Our brief stay in Sherman was very fruitful as we learned many things about discipleship and faith.
Our Jamaican staff lady formed a choir and we were invited to sing in churches, we opened a thrift store across the street, and a church and the Lord greatly blessed us, both financially and spiritually with many signs and wonders. This is not to say we didn't have problems because we were still in a spiritual war! One day a Warlock (a male witch who often leads a coven of witches) dropped off a witch named Ariel and told her she had five days to destroy our ministry!
At night she anointed the home with urine, praying witchcraft prayers and cursing us but the Lord prevailed and on the last day of her stay at a picnic we surrounded her telling her that Jesus loved her and wanted to save her and she ran away screaming and said she was going to sacrifice a child, never to be seen again. The next week we received a letter from Teen Challenge warning all their homes not to take this woman! Praise God!
