"But if you love those who love you; what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. Luke 6:32

Within these devotions on love it is my expressed intention for you to learn from my mistakes and not lose heart when trying to love the unlovely. I would say that the first ten years of my attempt at ministry was a disaster with a few Trophy's of Grace mixed in to encourage me.

Before my attempt at street, and residential ministry, the hardest to be involved in, I saw many healed and delivered through the pure power of God! The first two ladies were afflicted with a crippling ecological disease with one of them living in her yard that God touched and healed them! Then one day I got a call from a young lady who lost her baby to a miscarriage and wanted me to do the funeral, I think, my first.

I don't remember the details but the infant was wrapped and in a shoe-box so I prayed and tried to comfort the young lady in her grief. A few days later her parents called me and said that their daughter was in the hospital with acute kidney disease and on life support and would I come and pray for her. When I got there the girl was lifeless, clinically dead and the color of her skin was bright yellow. I prayed and then went into the family room where the doctor was telling her parents that there was no hope.

The Lord spoke to me and said to go back and pray again and so I did and left the hospital only to get a call several days later that the girl was healed and discharged from the hospital! Praise God!

"And these signs will follow those who believe; in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover." Mark 16:17,18
