Therefore, be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:1,2

I was born-again 42 years ago one night in my living room about to complete a half million-dollar drug deal when a man knocked on the door! A common house painter who had been praying for me to be saved along with a young man who worked for me. My wife let him in, and he proceeded to tell me about Jesus!

Sitting there with a lid of grass, a gram of cocaine, a sixpack of beer, a pack of cigarettes and my trusty chrome plated 45, I was a likely suspect for a Divine intervention! My life was a trainwreck with a $2000.00 a week cocaine addiction along with many other drugs and paraphernalia and being a hopeless alcoholic at 33 years of age I was standing at death's door.

The man laid out a dispensational chart he had drawn explaining God's plan of redemption and began to convince me that God loved me and then he asked me a question, "Do you believe God will save you tonight?" It hit me right between the eyes and I said, "Yes!" It felt like a million pounds lifted off my shoulders and for the first time in my life I was free! Praise be to God!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, (New Man) old things have passed away, behold all things have become new. II Corinthians 5:17

The greatest miracle in the history of mankind is the new birth! The supernatural transformation of a human being into a spiritual being. From a worm to a butterfly, this metamorphosis allows us to escape the deeds and sins of the old man and become a totally new person, washed in the supernatural cleansing blood of Christ!

When Nicodemus, a religious leader of the Jews approached Jesus, He told him that he must be born-again to enter the kingdom of Heaven, perplexed he asked how a man could be born a second time and Jesus said, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit, you must be born again!"

I am afraid we have lost the truth of the gospel that commands us to be born of the Spirit and have fallen away from the words of the Lord Jesus and chosen a path that leads to religion and church membership instead of discipleship. My prayer for those who read these devotional studies will search their heartand truly become a supernatural race of New Men and WomenMay God bless you!

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us; we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. II Corinthians 5:20

For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, you are God's building. I Corinthians 3:9

One after another the foremost of the builders fell by the hand of the enemy. Stephen was stoned; James was slain by the sword; Paul was beheaded; Peter was crucified; John was exiled. Yet the church grew. New workers took the place of those who fell, and stone after stone was added to the building. Thus, slowly ascended the temple of the church of God.

This is the true work of the servants of God, US! Because of tradition and false doctrine, we have been made to believe that the work is up to leadership or the pastor or to the Billy Graham's of the world, but the truth of the matter is we are God's fellow workers, we are the builders of the spiritual templewith those stones that we gather on the Way!

The blueprint of God's church has not changed over the centuries, but the teaching has, and the zeal and passion of Christ has waned for eons and the worker's love has grown cold. As the body of Christ, we must arm up and find our first love again and be filled with Holy Spirit power for persecution is coming and the powers of darkness are being loosed upon the earth!

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author (originator) and the finisher (perfecter) of our faith. Hebrews 12:1,2

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. I Corinthians 3:16,17

Paul and Peter spoke of a temple of living stone, a place indwelt by the Holy Spirit joined together in love and of one accord! There was no talk of buildings of wood and stone constructed by the churches for this was totally foreign to them with no thought of a place to go, but a Person to be, the very expression of Jesus!

Today, building church buildings is a multi-billion-dollar industry with Superstar preachers and pastors filling the padded seats of Mega churches with wide-eyed members lulled to sleep with a mushy gospel with absolutely no power to transform! Pray the prayer, walk the isle, jump in the water and write a check to cover an astronomical overhead without which many would close their doors!

Where is the power manifested in the body of Christ to heal the sick and raise the dead? What happened to speaking in tongues, prophesying the truth and preaching the un-compromised gospel of Jesus Christ able to break a man's heart and save his soul from HellThe apostles would be utterly disgusted with this modern-day attempt to be the living temple of God!

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also as living stones, are being build up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. I Peter 2:4,5

For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not carnal? (fleshly) Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I Corinthians 3:4,5

Division is a tool of the devil who wants man divided by his belief, whether Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal or whatever, they are all divisive! Paul was addressing this serious problem that arose at the church at Corinth!Today, denominations, sects and cults abound all over the world separating the true church of God and isolating us from one another.

Many of these churches have done good works but, in their quest, to achieve something good they have greatly damaged the overall fellowship of the Body of Christ! There is one body and that is the true church of Jesus Christ, the divine expression of God in the earth! Division has brought weakness because there is strength in numbers, but the devil has had a field day dividing us up into prideful little groups, all saying they have the truth!

True apostleship is the bedrock of the church with these New Men, un-fettered by denomination being the architects of the supernatural temple of living stones! They are endowed with the divine design by which the spiritual building is to be built. Look at America and what has happened as a demonic horde of devils has taken over a political party and is destroying the entire nation before our very eyes! The church of Jesus Christ is in danger of the same tactic when men separate themselves as exclusive agents of God's truth and pervert the gospel of Christ!

According to the grace of God, which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay, than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 3:10,11

As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Acts 13:2

Two New Men called to an impossible task to make disciples of a Gentile nation of pagans! The work was not to fill buildings or to make names for themselves but to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the face of imminent danger and the promise of death!

The very word "Apostle" means ones sent, sent to build upon a foundation of the word of God by the anointing given to them by the Holy Spirit. The work and ministry of the apostle has been lost today, replaced with the man-centered vision of filling buildings with members and not disciples for if they were disciples they would be sent out and not planted in a pew for the rest of their spiritual lives!

The devil has dragged up a corpse from the depths of antiquity, it is the ancient Levitical priesthood, the shepherd/sheep mentality where one man, the pastor delegates to the masses. Count the times pastor is mentioned in the New Testament, very few indeed, but today he is elevated to the position of "Superstar!" This mindset would be totally foreign to Saul and Barnabas today when they would be out risking their very necks for the gospel!

For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. I Corinthians 1:17,18

And a voice came to Peter, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat." But Peter said, "Not so Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean." And a voice spoke to him the second time, "What God has cleansed (declared clean) you must not call common." Acts 10:13-15

Sometimes God has to go to great lengths to get our attention and so He did with Peter knowing he was steeped in the Jewish religion and counted the Gentiles unclean! Jesus fulfilled the law of God at the cross and declared all things clean that were at one time considered in the law as unclean!

God showed Peter a vision of unclean animals and told him that they were cleansed and OK to eat! God also had to show a Gentile named Cornelious, a Roman centurion a vision in order for him to send men to bring Peter to him to preach the gospel. One man feared the Jews, and another considered them unclean, but God had other plans!

When Peter was questioned by his Jewish brethren, he told them about the vision he had seen and about the vision Cornelious had seen which brought about the salvation of his family! Oh, that we were not so hard-headed and stiff-necked, we would see so many supernatural signs and wonders! Is God trying to get your attention, is He leading you to do something you don't want todo, or you are not sure its Him? Trust and obey there is no other way, its hard to miss Him!

"If therefore God gave them (Gentiles) the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life." Acts 11:17,18

When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, "Who do men say that I, the Son of Man am?" Matthew 16:13

We can't look further in the New Testament without mentioning Peter, the rock which actually means little pebble! Contrary to popular belief Peter wasn't the rock Jesus spoke of the revelation of God was and is the rock and foundation of His church!

Nevertheless, the disciples didn't seem to know who Jesus really was saying that some said He was Elijah, or John the Baptist or Jeremiah but Peter knew and said, "You are the Christ, Son of the living God!" Jesus said, "Blessed are you Simon Barjonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but My Father who is in Heaven."

Peter received a revelation straight from the throne of God and Jesus was delighted even though Peter tried to rebuke Him, and the devil spoke out of his own mouth! But that seems to be what we as believers have to deal with, one moment blessed, anointed having the keys of the kingdom and the other in a war with the powers of darkness.

"And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth, will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven." Matthew 16: 19

And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Acts 6:8

Stephen was not an apostle, he was just a lowly deacon chosen to feed widows, but he was full of faith taking God at His word and performing signs and wonders! It doesn't make any difference who you are or what your position in life is, it matters that you are full of faith and the Holy Spiritand fulfill your divine destiny!

In the New Testament we only hear about a few New Men who walked in power, but I believe many multitudes of New Men and Women walked in the power and anointing of God! These brave Spirit filled disciples turned the known world at that time upside down, preaching, healing and casting out demons in Jesus Name!

Their churches were not cathedrals they were modest home fellowship groups with their focus on disciples and not members. The power of God was on their lives with many thousands getting saved and delivered! Today we need more Stephens, full of faith and power willing to step out of mediocrity into the supernatural divine life!

And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus receive my spirit" Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord do not charge them with this sin." And when he had said this, he fell asleep. Acts 7:59,60

Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart, and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. Acts 4:32

Imagine the church today having all things in common and giving out to any who had needs! No more selfish pastors or preachers taking up offerings for themselves, but only the body of Christ freely giving out to their brothers and sisters!

No more social security or charitable organizations, only the church of Jesus Christ doing what God intended, to give their lives in unselfish ways to take care of their spiritual family! The world would be a different place full of the generosity of God! This is one reason so many were getting saved, they were seeing the body giving out instead of taking up as is the norm today in which many are turned off by our selfish ways!

When we fully understand who we are in Christ, that we are the exact expression and representation of Jesus in the earth, signs, wonders and supernatural occurrences will abound, hospitals will be emptied, maybe graveyards too when we exhibit His power! Holy Spirit conviction will be poured out on the lost and multitudes will be healed, delivered and saved in this new supernatural environment!

Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold and laid them at the apostle's feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. Acts 4:34,35
