He was bruised (crushed) for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him. Isaiah 53:5

Jesus was beaten, bruised and crushed by the Roman guard beyond recognition and just as a prize fighter is beaten and the face becomes unrecognizable, so it was for the Christ! Jesus, being bruised, bled inside His body to break the generational curse of sin committed by Adam in the garden.

As the word states in Exodus 20:5 God visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children! This is the generational curse that requires our salvation and deliverance from its deadly consequences. The blood of Christ's beating broke the curse and set all free who appropriate the benefit!

Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for all of our sins, transgressions, iniquities, and trespasses, and His blood set us free forever from the generational curse of our unfaithful ancestors.

Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise (crush) Him; He has put Him to grief. When You make His soul an offering for sin. Isaiah 53:10

PRAYER OF APPROPRIATION: Heavenly Father we come before You in humility, asking for forgiveness for our unfaithful ancestors and by faith we receive the blood of the Lord Jesus that was shed for us when He was bruised for our iniquities to break the generational curses of sin, sickness and infirmity, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life, both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you. Genesis 3:17,18

God cursed Adam's livelihood when he sinned against Him and proclaimed that all it would yield would be thorns and thistles. Our livelihood has also been cursed by the sin of Adam and we need to appropriate the blood that the Lord Jesus shed through the crown of thorns.

Jesus paid the ultimate price for all sin and broke every curse that has descended from the garden where Adam sinned against God! He took upon Himself the crown of thorns thrust on His head and bled to set us free from poverty, debt and lack!

The believer is supposed to be blessed with all sufficiency in all things, supplied by God who owns all things and has given us His divine prosperity. We are no longer bound by earthly economics, having been freed from the natural world and conveyed into the supernatural realm of the kingdom of God!

And the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe. Then they said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" And they struck Him with their hands. John 19:2,3

PRAYER OF APPROPRIATION: Heavenly Father by faith in the shed blood of Christ and the ultimate sacrifice of Your Son, we receive the benefit of Your divine provision and break every word, curse and spell of poverty debt and lack, proclaiming our freedom in Christ. Amen

Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree (cross) that we having died to sins, might live for righteousness, by whose stripes (wounds) you were healed. I Peter 2:24

When we think of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, we tend to think only of the cross, but if that wasn't bad enough He suffered and bled in six other places to give us the benefit of this cruel suffering.

It is hard to imagine being whipped thirty-nine times with a whip, called a cat of nine tails consisting of leather straps with pieces of bone and metal attached so that they would rip and tear the flesh. The movie, "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST" is the most graphic portrayal I have ever seen that depicts the abject cruelty of the Roman soldiers.

It has been said that there are thirty-nine root diseases that cause all sickness, disease, and infirmity and Jesus healed them all! In Psalm 103 it states that He healed all of our diseases and Isaiah 53 says that by His stripes (wounds that tear) we are healed. In the gospel, Jesus healed all who came to Him, looking toward the cross and the suffering He would face!

Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits, Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:2,3

PRAYER OF APPROPRIATION: Heavenly Father, thank you for the sacrifice of Your Son who was scourged for our sicknesses, diseases and infirmities, we receive the benefit of His suffering and in the name, power, blood and authority of Jesus Christ we are healed!

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power for all patience and long-suffering with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. Colossians 1:3-12

We are partakers of the divine inheritance, all the benefits given to those who have made Jesus Lord! Jesus paid the price for our eternal souls when He suffered and died for us on the cross, but most do not know that He bled in seven specific places to give us complete salvation and deliverance from sin, iniquities, generational curses, and eternal death.

It all began in a garden when Adam first sinned by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and God expelled Him from His presence to toil in the earth and the generational curse of sin began its fateful journey down the bloodlines of all mankind, creating the need to be saved from its deadly consequences, in which the Son of God was sacrificed!

When Jesus went into the garden of Gethsemane to pray He was under so much stress that His sweat turned to blood, thereby giving us access to the throne of the Most High and the very presence of God. As Adam was driven out of God's presence so we as believers are invited back into His gracious inheritance of eternal peace, prosperity, and blessing.

And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. Luke 22:42-44

PRAYER OF APPROPRIATION: Heavenly Father I thank you for giving Your Son Jesus for me as a sacrifice and I appropriate the blood He shed for me allowing me back into Your presence! In Jesus Name, Amen

"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." John 3:5

Once one is born from above, washed from his past sins and has received the Spirit of grace he becomes a "New Creation in Christ," old things, habits, patterns and curses have passed away and all things have become new!

The Greek word for salvation is the noun "soteria" that denotes deliverance, preservation, salvation, and the spiritual and eternal deliverance granted by God to those who accept His conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The verb "sozo," to save, is used of material and temporal deliverance from danger, suffering, and sickness. Salvation and deliverance are synonymous!

Jesus said that the truth would set us free and now that your spiritual eyes have been opened to the truth we can begin to appropriate all the benefits that are ours in Christ through the things He suffered for us!

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come (now) He might show the exceeding riches of His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:4-9
