Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. Psalm 51:14

Psalm 51 is the prayer of deliverance that King David prayed to receive mercy, forgiveness and freedom from the powers of darkness and the curse of the law as a transgressor, murderer and adulterer.

Although this Psalm is in the Old Testament, nonetheless it is a prayer of deliverance for all believers to pray to be cleansed from guilt, condemnation and the shame caused by our sins and iniquities. The difference is, we have a new covenant written in the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that cleanses us from all unrighteousness, available to those who would cry out for mercy and grace, believing in the redemptive power of His sacrifice on the cross.

My prayer for all who read this devotional teaching is that they will appropriate that which God has given us as His body in the earth today, to walk in power and the anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage that sets men free from their sins. We are of the royal linage of the Lord Jesus Christ and as kings and priests, stewards of the mysteries of the kingdom and the chosen of God have been given all power and authority to rule and reign today in His kingdom on earth!

You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but now are the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. I Peter 2:9,10
