Counting It All Joy, Part II

Count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2,3

Jesus is our example to follow in His steps in regards to temptations, trials and tests, as He was tempted in all things, yet without sin. He is our High Priest who comes to our aid when we encounter these trials and sympathizes with our weakness, because He has been there.

There will be times when you will feel overwhelmed by the temptations of lust, anger, pride or any number of things sent against you in order to take you down, but know this, that Jesus has been there before you and He is your confidence and He is able to forgive you when you stumble and cleanse you of all sin. Many a godly man fell into the snare of the devil and was trapped and held captive by his schemes, so don't ever think you are the only one who suffers these sometimes excruciatingly painful situations.

The important thing to remember when you encounter these various trials is to learn from your mistakes and not repeat the ordeal that was sent to teach and train you in righteousness. God knows our frailty and understands our circumstances and is always ready to forgive even when we fall into these trials of life.

For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:15,16
