Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. I Corinthians 12:27
Imagine a divine plan so out of this world that only a few select individuals could have eyes to see such a miraculous work of the Creator for a spiritual being to indwell a human temple. A God-man sent through the pure vessel of a virgin to be reborn in human form and ultimately become the Christ, Son of the living God.
The vision of a supernatural entity inhabiting human beings is an almost fictional daydream in light of what the people of God have today in which millions call church! In the beginning when Jesus was born His mission was to build a human temple in which to dwell after He was crucified and raised eternal in the heavens to ever be seated with the Father in heavenly realms. He chose twelve pillars to support the living stones that would become the eternal dwelling place of the Most High God. Washed in the water of the Word, cleansed with the blood of the Lamb and scorched with the fire of Heaven, they were about to turn the world upside, down!
The vision was clear, the mandate was given, the God-man stepped out into this world to deal with mankind's sin and to build a supernatural being who would contain His Holy Spirit and walk the earth in power and dominion establishing the eternal kingdom. Born to die and be planted as first fruits to God Jesus became the firstborn Son and the Seed that would grow into a supernatural representation of Himself in the lives of His human counterparts. The vineyard of the Lord of Hosts was planted with supernatural seed that would grow into the body of the living Lord Jesus Christ!
So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Romans 12:5
A SPIRITUAL HOUSE
Coming to Him as to a living stone rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4,5
Beginning as a supernatural organism, filled with the Holy Spirit's power and multiplying at an astronomical rate the Devil quickly devised a diabolical plan to stifle their growth and stop their forward motion. Satan's scheme was to take this organic expression of the Lord Jesus Christ, a living breathing supernatural vineyard and turn it into a potted plant that could no longer spread its vine into the world.
It took 2000 years but the Devil accomplished what he set out to do, he introduced eons of man-made tradition and doctrines of demons, pagan rituals, myths and he even resurrected the old priesthood, complete with temple, priest (Senior Pastor) and ritual. No longer a person to be, the church of the living God had become a place to go, a whitewashed tomb filled with dead men's bones and all un-cleaness. A dusty memorial to a distant world clouded by dead rituals and endless services to a God who died years ago with no thought of the original mission or vision of the once powerful church of the Lord Jesus Christ. A perpetual funeral service filled with death and decay, only to rot away in a man-centered religion of doubt and despair.
Arise people of God and shake off the dust of religion and ritual and come back to the Shepherd of your soul, the Head and Lord of His living temple. Leave the demonically inspired world of man-made religion and come into His glorious presence with praise and thanksgiving and serve Him with gladness and sincerity of heart, submitting yourselves back under His Lordship once and for all. Fulfill His purpose in your life and become that living expression of Him in the earth, endowed with power from on high and serve Him with all of your heart, for this is the will of God for your life!
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. I Peter 2:9,10
THE ASSEMBLY OF THE RIGHTEOUS
How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. I Corinthians 14:26
When was the last time you were allowed, or anyone for that matter to be able to employ your God-given spiritual gift in the assembly? Never? You are a part of Christ meant to be able to impart spiritual wisdom, knowledge and revelation to your brothers and sisters in the faith, but you are not allowed because you are untrustworthy and untrained, after all you haven't been to seminary. Sorry, but we have Senior Pastors to feed the flock, not laymen and after all we pay them well to give you what you need! Why you don't even have to bring your Bible because its displayed on the overhead screen for all to see.
A quadriplegic body without a head and with all its organs shut down lying in state on Sunday morning. Another memorial service waiting on the last trumpet to deliver them from this body of death to rise from the dust, but alas, it never comes, only another inspiring message that will spark enough hope to come back next week and do it all over again. Do you not see the desparation in this and are you not tired of sitting through these dead and boring meetings without the presence of a Holy God who desires to change this world by the life of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ in you?
I'm sorry, but I have seen funerals with more life than most church services, so why do you sit through this nonesense especially when Jesus doesn't? God intended for each member to do his part so that the whole body would be edified, in other words their faith would be built up by what everyone supplied to his brothers and sisters. One man giving out on Sunday after Sunday will be quickly depleated of spiritual life and will eventually burn out and that is why the whole body must operate as the Spirit wills so life can flow to all!
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them. Romans 12:4-6
