By Faith, Part IV
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Hebrews 11:7
In the midst of a corrupt and violent world God chose Noah, a blameless and God fearing man to build a boat that would contain all the animals needed to repopulate the world and for Noah and his family. A daunting task to say the least and an act of blind faith indeed to build a boat on dry land 450 feet long and 75 feet wide.
Noah labored for many years building the ark of God, knowing full well his purpose and destiny to fulfill God's ultimate plan for the future of mankind. How many today are even concerned about God's will for His kingdom on earth and ever come to an understanding of their God given purpose to be on the planet. We are only given a specific amount of time to accomplish what God has given us to do, but most never realize their supernatural divine plan to carry out and die unfulfilled and barren concerning His vision for them.
The earth today is worse than it was in Noah's day and time is running out for us to know and by faith carry out God's plan for us. In the midst of our worldly pursuits we can totally miss what God has for us and spend our lives accumulating wealth that will only be given to others upon our departure from the planet!
Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. II Peter 1:10,11
