And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord spoke to Moses. All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Exodus 33:9-11

We as believers are the tabernacle of God, His temple, His tent, His sanctuary and His body where He dwells. We are capable, not only to speak to Him "Face to Face," but we can also hear His voice speaking to us if we will only take the time to pray, meditate and study His word on a daily basis.

You would be surprised how many believers, even pastors and leaders don't spend time with God, they don't pray and many of their sermons are taken from the Internet. This is why there is no power in the Western church, because they are spiritually starved to death, put into sermon-induced comas by men who don't have a personal "Face to Face" relationship with the Most High.

Then Hagar called the name of the Lord who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, "Have I also here seen Him who sees me?" Genesis 16:13

Hagar was a common servant girl, who now had been exiled by her master, Sarah and was considered less than a prostitute for going in to Abraham, and yet God spoke to her on a personal level. God saw her in her affliction as He sees us all, but many of us don't hear Him or see Him because we are just too busy, that is, until we need Him!

The heartbeat of true Christianity is our ability to speak "Face to Face" with our Creator and Father of us all and to discern His voice and know that it is He who speaks into our spirit. Many today seek to hear God through their pastor or a message or a Pod-cast, but never seek to hear God on their own or establish a personal relationship of constant communion, that not only brings about spiritual growth, but insures us that we indeed belong to Him as His body.

For now we see into a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. I Corinthians 13:12

When we were children we knew our parent's voices, even able to recognize them in a crowded place and God want's us to recognize His voice wherever we are and to know that we know it is He who speaks. There are many voices today in the world and with the advent of the Internet, hand held electronic devices and TV we are bombarded with more than our minds can contain, many times drowning out the Holy Spirit's still small voice!

If you do not have a relationship with God through the shed blood of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, then you need to give your heart, mind and soul to Him who died for you and caused you to be born again to a living hope and a personal "Face to Face" relationship with the God of all gods and King of the universe! Through prayer and meditation seek His face and speak to Him as you would your own Father, I guarantee He will speak to you and will draw you to Himself in true communion and fellowship and your life will never be the same.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the river of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3

Your servant in Christ, Tim Laughlin
