The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31
The horse has always been a symbol of strength in battle likened to modern day weaponry used to defeat our enemies, but God is our ultimate weapon to be trusted in as the nation of Israel did to deliver them.
Israel didn't use horses or chariots in their wars with the Philistines and other enemies, instead trusting in God for the victory. David was a prime example of a man who not only knew God but trusted Him explicitly for his deliverance from the giant behemoth, Goliath! With only a sling and faith in the Almighty, the Holy Spirit directed a stone into the forehead of the giant!
Today, many have put their trust in man, their own ability, education, medicine, science or anything but on God who is our Deliverer. Cursed is the man who trusts in man as it states in the scriptures, but blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord!
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7
